The Bone Wars, paleontology in the days of the Wild West. The great dinosaur rush of the 19th century gave us many of the dinosaurs most of us would consider our favorites today, like the fascinating Stegosaurus and the fearsome Allosaurus. But behind the scientific goldmine lies a feud fueled by hatred, jealousy, and espionage. Together, Edward Drinker Cope and Othniel Charles Marsh ushered in a new era of paleontological discovery that is still affecting discoveries and decisions made about prehistoric species and specimens today.
